Dear colleagues and friends,

»The tasks of a literary publisher may have changed as far as the details of the on-going process of literary communication are concerned, but on the whole they have remained the same: to be ready for the author, for the originality of his work, and to contribute to his significance.« Siegfried Unseld, 1978.

Much has happened in the world and in publishing since Siegfried Unseld wrote those lines over forty years ago. And yet, what he outlines is still our credo today. The rights trade is much more than just a business, it opens spaces, bridges cultures, connects writers, thinkers, readers, viewers and listeners.

We’re delighted to represent the work of some of the best writers and most influential thinkers worldwide, with original works written in German and many other languages. The following pages are designed to offer information and to create inspiration, for together with you, we will make those books and ideas travel.
